Not all platforms serve the same purpose. Understanding the difference is the first step in not wasting time or money:

Platforms for clubs and agents (B2B)
Professional tools designed for scouts, sports directors and agents. Players cannot register directly. They are the ones that really move the market — but they don't serve you if you're a player looking for opportunities on your own.

Platforms for players (B2C)
Designed for players to create profiles, upload videos, and connect with clubs and agents. They vary enormously in quality: some have real connections to the professional ecosystem; others are just an empty showcase.

Mixed platforms
They try to serve both sides: players create profiles and clubs look for them. Success depends on whether clubs actually use the platform to recruit — many have thousands of registered players but few active clubs.

Professional platforms that really use clubs

Wyscout (Hudl)

What is it: The most used video and data platform of professional scouting. It has complete matches of more than 200 leagues, with tactical and statistical data of each player.

Does it serve for players looking for a club? Not directly. Wyscout is a B2B tool — it is used by scouts, analysts and sports directors to evaluate players who are already in covered leagues. If you play in a league that Wyscout covers, your data is already there. If not, you can’t " upload your profile ".

Cost: Professional subscription from €500-2,000/year for clubs and agents. No version for players.

TransferRoom

What is it: The most important transfer market in professional football. More than 700 clubs and 300 agencies use it to negotiate signings, loans and transfers. Viktor Gyökeres (Coventry → Sporting CP) and Antoine Semenyo (Bristol City → Bournemouth) started as talks at TransferRoom.

Does it serve for players? Recently they launched a free player tool, but it is mainly a B2B platform. Your agent can use it to promote you to clubs; you directly, not so much.

Cost: Annual subscription for clubs and agents. It is not free.

InStat

What is it: Similar to Wyscout — video platform and performance analysis used by clubs and scouts. It covers fewer leagues than Wyscout but has very powerful analytic tools.

Does it serve for players? Just like Wyscout: only if you play in a covered league. It’s not a platform where you register to search for a club.

Platforms for players: which have value

aiScout

What is it: The platform of virtual tests with AI You record yourself doing exercises and the AI evaluates you against club standards like Chelsea, Burnley and MLS.

Does it work? Yes, with nuances. 135+ players received tests or contracts through the app. It is free for players and has real clubs behind it. But the conversion is low (0.13 % of the database). It is a complement, not a unique strategy.

Cost: Free for players.

Yooscout

What is it: Professional social network of football where players, clubs, agents and scouts create profiles and connect. It allows you to upload videos, share your profile, and communicate directly with other users.

Scam Signs: How to Identify Fraudulent Platforms

He doesn't trust if the platform...

Promises you contact with specific clubs in exchange for money. "Pay $500 and we connect you to Premier League scouts." If it were that easy, there would be no agents.
You don't have verified clubs on your base. A legitimate platform can name clubs that use it. If everything is vague ("European clubs", "international scouts") without specific names, it is suspicious.
It charges you high fees without offering clear value. A monthly $50+ subscription to "be visible" to scouts that probably don't exist is a collect machine. Legitimate platforms have freemium models (free for basic functions, payment for advanced features) or charge the club, not the player.
It has thousands of players but zero verifiable success stories. Ask for names of players who have signed a contract through the platform. Check them in Transfermarkt. If you can't verify anything, avoid.
He contacted you without you doing anything. "We've seen your profile and we want to invite you to our exclusive platform" — if you never uploaded a video or contacted anyone, it's almost certainly a massive message designed to extract money.
He has no verifiable presence. Do you have a professional website? Do you have reviews on Google? Do you have active social networks? Are there identifiable people behind? If everything looks armed in 5 minutes, it probably was.
